Welcome!

This blog will document the ongoing process of a library student conducting her final practicum in the course of obtaining a BS degree in Library Science. Topics will include a candid look at the students goals, hopes, and challenges; the prospect of employment and the career choices this student must make upon graduation and completion of a library internship.

In this case, the internship is threefold and includes: 1.) Organizing a library collection at the Maine Media College located in beautiful Rockport, Maine 2.) Writing a grant for a wellness program designed by Jane Irving, a successful massage therapist and educator who hopes to implement an online wellness program for individuals suffering from terminal disease and 3.) Writing book reviews for School Library Journal.
